Euclid spacecraft from ESA has exceeded expectations with its exceptional performance. The spacecraft’s first test images have surpassed predicted results, providing compelling evidence of its capabilities. The European Space Agency (ESA) conducted a research that confirmed Euclid’s instruments, including its near-infrared camera, to be far superior to the anticipated specifications. These advanced instruments will enable Euclid to create a comprehensive, ultra-accurate map of billions of galaxies, pushing the boundaries of our understanding of the universe. Dark matter, a mysterious element that constitutes a significant portion of the cosmos, is a primary focus of Euclid’s mission. The successful initial imaging test paves the way for significant scientific discoveries regarding dark matter and dark energy. Euclid is a wide-angle telescope with a 600-megapixel camera and photometer, to determine the redshift of detected galaxies. Made by the European Space Agency (ESA) and the Euclid Consortium. Vehicle launched on 1 July 2023.
